AKO "Best BPM Process" 2010
At LandWarNet 2010, the Acquisition/Certification application used by the Business Transformation Agency and the Office of the Deputy Chief Management Officer was named "Best BPM Process" on the Army Knowledge Online/Defense Knowledge Online (AKO/DKO) platform. The application automates the submission and processing of acquisition and certification requests for systems under review by the Investment Review Board (IRB). AKO/DKO is built on Appian technology, and the Acquisition/Certification application was developed by Appian professional services contractors.

Lead411's "Hottest Companies" awards recognize the fastest-growing companies in different geographic regions. Appian was selected as a DC-area winner from among more than 1,650 companies.

The "Virginia Technology Fast 50/Rising Star" is an annual awards program, ranking technology companies located in Virginia by revenue growth. Appian was selected one of three winners of the Rising Star Award. Rising Stars must meet the same criteria as Fast 50 nominees except they must be in business less than 5 years.

Business Process Incubator
Appian is pleased to announce we are a contributing partner of the Business Process Incubator. The Business Process Incubator is an online resource sparking to life the promises of Business Process Management (BPM). Free registration provides access to a wealth of BPM related resources through the Appian community, such as free BPMN modelers, best practice presentations, verification and conversion web-services to-and-from various BPM standards, and a complete BPM eLearning curriculum. Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC)
The Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC) is a global organization of adopters, developers, consultants, analysts, as well as university and research groups engaged in workflow and BPM. The WfMC creates and contributes to process related standards, educates the market on related issues, and is the only standards organization that concentrates purely on process.
